Line Mechanic Operator (Days) 5:45am-6:15pm

Location: Onsite in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. Day shift from 5:45am to 6:15pm; overtime may be required.

Pay: $26.00/hour

What you will do

• Lead production line setup, product changeovers, and daily operating activities.
• Set up and operate multiple packaging machines, clear jams, make minor adjustments, and minimize downtime.
• Read machine performance data, maintain production records, and monitor product weights and appearance.
• Submit and support maintenance work orders and perform preventive maintenance activities.
• Guide production employees, assist with training, and collaborate with supervisors, maintenance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement teams.
• Perform sanitation, equipment teardown and reassembly, metal detector checks, and 5S activities while following food safety and workplace safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous mechanical experience in a manufacturing, production, maintenance, industrial, automotive, agricultural, or similar environment.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and make minor machine adjustments.
• Ability to lead production-line activities, use production systems, communicate effectively, and perform basic math.
• Ability to obtain Lockout/Tagout certification and work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work overtime as required and perform standing, walking, lifting, bending, and repetitive motion throughout the shift.

Nice to have

• One year of manufacturing or production experience.
• Experience operating packaging or processing equipment and performing preventive maintenance.
• Manufacturing leadership or team lead experience.
• Experience with 5S, GMPs, food safety, quality systems, and machine performance data.
• Experience troubleshooting coding, dating, pricing, or automated packaging systems.
