Associate Director (Front Office Trade Desk Applications)

Location: Hybrid; office attendance three days per week is required in St. Petersburg, Florida, or Jersey City, New Jersey, United States.

Salary: $100,000–$175,000 per year.

What you will do

• Own the Trade Desk Order Entry platform supporting enterprise equity and options trading.
• Lead the platform roadmap, delivery, stability, enhancement, and long-term evolution.
• Partner with traders, trade desk leadership, operations, compliance, product management, architecture, and engineering teams to define and deliver workflow improvements.
• Modernize legacy front-office applications through UI modernization, API enablement, workflow automation, service-based architecture, and platform simplification.
• Oversee order lifecycle capabilities including capture, validation, routing, execution, allocations, exception management, and post-trade processing.
• Lead engineering, business analysis, QA, production support, SRE, and vendor teams while communicating strategy, risks, and priorities to executives.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience leading software engineering and technology teams for mission-critical trading or wealth management platforms.
• Deep knowledge of wealth management trading operations, trader-facing applications, equity and options trading, and order management systems.
• Strong experience with distributed systems, microservices, APIs, messaging technologies, integrations, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience modernizing legacy front-office platforms while maintaining reliability, resiliency, scalability, performance, observability, security, and operational stability.
• Experience working in regulated financial services environments with audit, compliance, risk management, supervisory controls, and regulatory obligations.
• Visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
