Paint Sprayer (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Carry out daily paint spraying, blasting, pre-wash, and related paint shop tasks.
• Maintain paint, blast, pre-wash, quality, environmental, health, and safety standards.
• Operate and maintain spray equipment, tooling, and other paint shop resources.
• Lead continuous improvement activities using lean manufacturing and 5S techniques.
• Support the Team Leader with paint shop performance, KPIs, inspection responses, and issue escalation.
• Complete documentation, requisition paint and materials, and maintain high housekeeping standards.

Requirements

• City and Guilds Apprenticeship or equivalent in paint spraying.
• City and Guilds Apprenticeship or equivalent in shot blasting.
• Substantial experience in paint spraying and shot blasting in an automated paint plant.
• Competent use of spray equipment and shot blasting techniques.
• Understanding of paint methods, processes, products, systems, and planning methods.
• Understanding of safe paint plant operations, health and safety, fire, environmental policies, and EPA requirements.

Nice to have

• NACE or ICORR Level 1, 2, or 3 certification.
• IOSH qualification in risk assessment.
