Location: Taunton, Massachusetts, United States. U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret Security Clearance are required.

is recruiting for a federal defense contractor developing autonomous-undersea systems.
What you will do
- Design and implement bare-metal firmware in C for ARM Cortex-M and other microcontroller architectures.
- Develop drivers and low-level interfaces for SPI, I2C, UART, GPIO, ADC, PWM, and timer peripherals.
- Profile and optimize firmware for performance, power consumption, and memory constraints.
- Participate in requirements analysis, design, integration, verification, technical reviews, and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers, systems architects, product teams, project leaders, program managers, and external customers.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required due to government security clearance requirements.
- An active DoD Secret Security Clearance is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related science, engineering, or mathematics field with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
- Professional experience designing bare-metal firmware in C for ARM Cortex-M and other microcontroller architectures.
- Experience developing peripheral drivers and low-level interfaces.
- Experience profiling and optimizing code for performance, power, and memory constraints.
Nice to have
- Experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, SWD or JTAG debuggers, and embedded testing frameworks.
