What you will do
- Support domestic franchise regulatory compliance processes, including annual FDD renewals, amendments, exemption filings, data gathering, and information tracking.
- Coordinate with internal business teams, outside counsel, and state administrations on franchise legal matters.
- Draft and manage franchise default notices, termination notices, amendments, addenda, and related agreements.
- Manage requests for third-party franchise documentation, including securitization audits, lender documentation, and SBA items.
- Maintain filing systems and legal files while supporting business development compliance processes.
- Handle special projects and prepare unique agreements, amendments, and notices as assigned by franchise legal leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Paralegal certification, legal assistant education or equivalent paralegal experience; Notary Public qualification.
- 2–4 years of experience in a legal paralegal or equivalent legal administrative position.
- Strong communication, organization, multitasking, time management, interpersonal, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AI drafting software and tools, database management, FRM, and Oracle.
- Knowledge of legal contract administration and transactional documentation drafting.
Nice to have
- 5+ years of experience in a legal paralegal or equivalent legal administrative position.
- Experience with franchise-related regulatory matters, securities regulatory support, or mergers and acquisitions and corporate legal transactions.
- Knowledge of FTC or similar regulatory compliance processes.
