Default Loan Servicing Specialist - Foreclosure - ServiceMac (Mortgage Foreclosure)

Location: Remote within the United States; the posting also lists Fort Mill, South Carolina.

Salary: $23.37–$31.15 per hour

What you will do

• Manage foreclosure activities and mortgage accounts in line with state and federal laws, investor, insurer, agency, and company guidelines.
• Track foreclosure timelines and ensure First Legal Actions are completed by established deadlines, including requesting extensions when needed.
• Review foreclosure files, default timeframes, regulatory requirements, and statutory compliance.
• Coordinate with mortgagors, attorneys, investors, insurers, trustees, appraisers, and other parties involved in foreclosure proceedings.
• Monitor attorney performance, system and database activities, expenses, audits, and quality-control requests.
• Analyze assigned portfolios, research questionable loan items, report litigated and class-action matters, and manage exception reporting.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of directly related experience in mortgage foreclosure, bankruptcy, and/or legal work.
• Knowledge of foreclosure concepts, practices, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow strict procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, work independently, and respond quickly to emergent problems.
• Successful background and credit checks are required where permitted by applicable law.

Nice to have

• GSE and government experience.
• Experience with MSP and LoanSphere.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and Microsoft Outlook.
