Insurance & Financial Reporting Analyst (Insurance Finance): Analyzing, reconciling, and reporting financial and insurance data for insurance and reinsurance programs with an accent on statutory reporting, cash controls, and data accuracy. Focus on calculating supplemental reserves and IBNR allocations, maintaining financial databases, and supporting audits and regulatory reporting.
Location: Omaha, Nebraska, United States; hybrid work is available after a period of in-office training

What you will do
- Analyze, reconcile, and interpret financial and insurance data from multiple sources.
- Prepare working papers, schedules, and financial or statutory reports for assigned insurance programs.
- Process funding and loss payment requests while maintaining cash controls, reconciliations, and intercompany settlements.
- Coordinate daily, monthly, and year-end financial information between operating locations and the Omaha office.
- Maintain financial databases and develop spreadsheet and database tools in collaboration with IT and Finance.
- Prepare management, regulatory, and audit reports; support supplemental reserve and IBNR allocation calculations and respond to audit inquiries.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a related field.
- One or more years of work experience.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles.
- Personal computer proficiency, including Excel and Word.
- Employer visa sponsorship is not available.
Nice to have
- Life or property and casualty insurance accounting experience.
- Knowledge of financial reporting and statutory accounting principles.
- Familiarity with company and department practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Access.
