AVP, Finance Implementation (AI)

What you will do

• Lead strategic Controllership initiatives from current-state assessment through implementation, adoption, stabilization, and business transition.
• Diagnose transaction-level processes, data flows, controls, and technology to identify root causes, risks, simplification opportunities, and automation potential.
• Design scalable future-state solutions using technology, data, automation, and AI-enabled tools.
• Translate accounting, reporting, operational, and control needs into requirements and measurable outcomes.
• Establish process ownership, documentation, governance, metrics, and support models.
• Partner with Controllership, Finance Transformation, Technology, and other teams while developing talent and promoting risk-aware innovation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, finance technology, process implementation, or strategic transformation preferred.
• 4+ years of formal or informal leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrated success leading complex Finance or Controllership initiatives through implementation and sustained adoption.
• Strong understanding of Controllership processes, financial data, reporting, internal controls, and audit requirements.
• Experience leveraging automation, analytics, or AI-enabled tools in finance processes; Python and AWS experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline; periodic business travel may be required.

Nice to have

• Insurance or financial services experience, especially in multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction, or multi-basis financial reporting environments.
• Advanced degree or relevant professional certification.
