Inbound Subrogation Specialist (Insurance)

Location: Richfield, Ohio, United States; hybrid schedule with on-site work four days per week and one remote day. Core in-office days are Tuesday–Thursday, with the fourth day based on business needs.

Salary: $75,000–$85,000 per year.

What you will do

• Manage a large inventory of complex claims and evaluate coverage, compensability, liability, and damages.
• Plan and conduct detailed claims investigations.
• Analyze and negotiate settlements and reserves within assigned authority.
• Communicate complex coverage and settlement information to insureds, claimants, and external partners.
• Authorize timely claim payments and maintain complete claim files with correspondence, reports, and settlement agreements.
• Attend arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials as required and support staff performance and coaching.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 9 years of property and casualty claims-handling experience.
• Advanced knowledge of auto physical damage claims, collision repair processes, estimating practices, labor guides, and parts pricing.
• Proficiency with CCC ONE, Mitchell, Xactimate, Audatex/Solera, or similar estimating platforms.
• Strong knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, claims procedures, industry laws, and regulations.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Completion of or progress toward a professional designation such as Associate in Claims (AIC).
