Financial Compliance Intern - Summer 2027

Location: On-site in Sioux Falls, South Dakota

What you will do

• Monitor compliance with federal prevailing wage and apprenticeship requirements related to the Inflation Reduction Act.
• Assist with wage determinations, apprentice documentation, payroll reviews, and compliance submissions.
• Maintain accurate records, validate data, and generate audit reports and internal review summaries.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, accounting staff, suppliers, procurement, and operations to resolve discrepancies.
• Collect and review subcontractor fringe benefit documentation for completeness and reasonableness.

Requirements

• Junior- or senior-level student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
• Strong organizational, time management, analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal, customer service, written, and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy during repetitive tasks.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new programs.
• Ability to work on-site in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
