What you will do

  • Own the plant’s environmental science function and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations covering air, water, waste, and chemical manufacturing operations.
  • Manage the Title V Air Permit and other environmental permitting activities, including renewals, modifications, reporting, and compliance obligations.
  • Act as the primary environmental liaison with the EPA and Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality.
  • Lead regulatory inspections, audits, agency interactions, and responses to findings and inquiries.
  • Oversee emissions testing, Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems, environmental monitoring, and compliance reporting.
  • Investigate environmental incidents, implement corrective and preventive actions, and drive improvements in sustainability and site environmental performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or university degree in environmental engineering, safety engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in Title V permitting, waste, water, air, or related environmental functions.
  • Required prior experience in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of environmental and safety sciences, practices, and national and local regulations.
  • Leadership, planning, organizational, problem-solving, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Conversational and written fluency in English is required.
