Engineering Intern - Summer 2027 (Powersports)

Location: Wyoming, MN, USA, with potential placements in Roseau, MN; Huntsville, AL; San Angelo, TX; or Novi, MI. Onsite attendance and daily commuting are required. Interns must be willing and able to relocate to their assigned office.

Salary: $24.00–$32.00 per hour in Minnesota, plus potential overtime.

What you will do

• Complete impactful, project-based engineering assignments during a paid 12-week summer internship.
• Contribute to larger ongoing initiatives and shorter-scale projects aligned with business objectives.
• Join a placement in design, project, systems, test, or development engineering based on interests and business needs.
• Participate in an intern innovation challenge and develop practical solutions to a hirify.global business problem.
• Present internship results and career aspirations to senior leaders.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, including mechanical, electrical, computer, software, or systems engineering.
• Expected graduation between August 2027 and May 2029.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 and at least two years of university coursework preferred.
• Availability for a 12-week, 40-hour-per-week internship from May 17–August 6, 2027, or May 31–August 20, 2027.
• Must be a U.S. person and must not require employment sponsorship now or in the future.
• Reliable transportation for daily commuting and previous experience with Microsoft Office tools are required.

Nice to have

• CAD experience, especially with Creo.
• Previous internship, co-op, club, or hands-on engineering experience, such as SAE or Clean Snow.
• Leadership experience and demonstrated strengths in analysis, creative problem-solving, communication, collaboration, self-motivation, and leadership.

Hiring process

• Applications are reviewed between August and November, followed by an initial phone screen.
• Selected candidates participate in a virtual panel interview with an HR business partner and functional leader.
• Specific internship assignments are communicated in February after interests and business needs are matched.
