Field Service Engineer (Lasers)

Location: United States of America; preferred location in the Eastern Time Zone. USA and international travel is required, including travel to customer sites across North America.

Salary: $85,000–$115,000 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.

hirify.global operates a Global Field Service team supporting high-tech production systems, lasers, motion stages, and vacuum products.

What you will do

• Install, diagnose, repair, and troubleshoot ultrashort pulse laser systems.
• Perform optical alignment and install and troubleshoot electromechanical subassemblies.
• Maintain the operational functionality of scientific and industrial laser equipment.
• Instruct customers on system operation and maintenance.
• Act as the technical and administrative interface between customers and the factory.
• Provide shift, weekend, on-call, and customer-site support as required.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of related practical experience, including experience with lasers and laser systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical, mechanical, and optical systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to self-manage and schedule work with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency with PC applications, including Microsoft Office, SAP, and data analysis tools.
• Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites across North America during normal business weeks.
