System Test & Validation Engineer (AI Hardware)

Salary: $120,000–$300,000 annual base salary

What you will do

• Define, measure, and document system performance metrics covering power consumption, latency, and stability.
• Test iterative hardware and software releases, track regressions, and validate performance improvements.
• Validate hardware and software integration through real-world use cases and identify system-level bottlenecks.
• Design, build, and maintain automated test setups, test jigs, and laboratory equipment controls.
• Track bugs, support system-level root-cause diagnosis, and verify fixes with the design team.
• Collaborate with Wireless, Audio, and UX teams to validate holistic system performance.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with system-level hardware and software validation.
• Experience profiling power, diagnosing latency bottlenecks, and troubleshooting complex system interactions.
• Ability to read hardware schematics and use common hardware laboratory tools.
• Working knowledge of Qualcomm chipsets and platforms.
• Experience with firmware bring-up and RTOS, Linux, or Android environments.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or LabVIEW, including control of laboratory test equipment or development of simple test jigs.

Nice to have

• Expertise in camera and optical sensors, capacitive sensors, audio, or wireless subsystems.
• Familiarity with Agile development, Jira, and version control.
