Entertainment Technician – Electronic Services, SeaWorld San Diego (Part-Time, Hourly)

What you will do

• Assist with the installation, strike, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of audio, video, and electronic elements.
• Open and close technical elements for rides, attractions, and shows, and respond to park trouble calls.
• Test show control and special effects systems, identify faults, and repair or replace defective components.
• Set up and strike audio and video equipment for special events, private parties, and seasonal programs.
• Coordinate cable pulling and termination, install speakers and video monitors, and complete assigned projects with minimal supervision.
• Maintain safe, clean work areas and provide responsive service to guests and coworkers.

Requirements

• At least three years of related troubleshooting and repair experience with audio, video, electronic circuits, or devices.
• Intermediate knowledge of signal flow, video switchers, audio mixers, show control systems, video surveillance, wireless microphones, and computer-based media equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot to the component level, perform solder repairs, coordinate wireless frequencies, and repair or replace defective elements.
• Ability to lift or move 50 pounds unassisted, work at heights up to 90 feet, and work indoors and outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Availability for weekends, holidays, late evenings, and early mornings; must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to maintain a hirify.global driver's license, operate a company vehicle, and be trained on forklifts, boats, boom lifts, and scissor lifts.

Nice to have

• Associate degree, vocational training, or technical trade school education.
• Experience fabricating custom electronic circuits and devices.
