Engineer - Battery Projects (Battery Manufacturing)

Location: hirify.global’s Production Engineering Manufacturing Center in Georgetown, Kentucky, or hirify.global’s Battery Plant in Liberty, North Carolina; must have the right to work in the United States without current or future immigration sponsorship.

What you will do

• Manage and summarize CapEx and OpEx budget activity, investigate cost discrepancies, audit General Ledger accounts, and coordinate journal entry corrections.
• Communicate monthly spending and support activity planning and funding requirements.
• Create and maintain planning, ringi, requisition, and shikumi documentation covering standard and best-practice processes.
• Train team members on Ariba, SAP, Ringi Database, Ringi Spend Management, and other relevant applications.
• Coordinate technical development programs and cross-functional project reflection meetings throughout project phases.
• Track reflection items, support root cause analysis and countermeasure implementation, and incorporate lessons learned into cost planning, budgets, and machine specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a similar discipline, or at least five years of equivalent manufacturing or related industry experience.
• Experience managing capital and/or operating project budgets exceeding $250,000.
• Experience creating technical documentation, summary reports, presentations, and delivering technical and non-technical presentations to audiences including executive management.
• Experience collaborating with internal teams, plant groups, contractors, vendors, and other external partners.
• Experience with hirify.global Business Practice or a similar methodology, including root cause analysis, countermeasure development, implementation trials, results monitoring, and standardization.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and shutdown periods, work up to 25% overtime, adjust schedules for meetings with Japan-based members, and travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree or technical certification.
• Experience with battery manufacturing raw materials, equipment, or processes.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, or Revit for 2D drafting and 3D modeling.
