Sr. Default Litigation Loan Servicing Specialist – Foreclosure (Mortgage)

Location: Remote within the United States; role associated with Fort Mill, South Carolina

Salary: $30.91–$41.20 per hour

What you will do

• Manage a high-risk portfolio of mortgage accounts and default servicing activities.
• Oversee counsel’s foreclosure and bankruptcy proceedings, ensuring required actions and milestones are completed.
• Monitor compliance with state and federal laws, investor, insurer, agency, and company guidelines.
• Represent the company in mediations, settlements, trials, and depositions.
• Review files, payment applications, notifications, expenses, and default time frames for accuracy and compliance.
• Manage exception reporting, monitor attorney performance, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a paralegal degree or certificate is preferred.
• At least 3 years of directly related experience in mortgage litigation, mortgage servicing, title resolution, legal, or financial work.
• Knowledge of foreclosure, bankruptcy, default servicing, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow strict procedures.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and respond to urgent issues.
• Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet-based software; Microsoft Outlook experience is preferred.
