Semi System Application Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: San Jose, CA, United States; onsite attendance is required. The role includes domestic and international travel for customer-site system start-up support.

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 per year, plus a bonus of up to 10%.

What you will do

• Develop, test, and maintain systems for the semiconductor industry.
• Respond to customer requests and technical inquiries regarding Kawasaki semiconductor systems.
• Serve as the technical focal point for internal and external customers.
• Lead prototype design projects and coordinate mechanical, electrical, software, and prototype teams against committed timelines.
• Provide field support at customer sites during initial system start-up, including domestic and international travel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 3 years of technical experience with semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex technical concepts.
• Strong organization and time-management skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to work with limited supervision.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds and perform extended periods of sitting, standing, and repetitive motion.

Nice to have

• 5 or more years of engineering experience in automation or the semiconductor industry.
• Experience with semiconductor EFEM.
• Experience designing systems in a semiconductor fab environment.
