Radiographer Trainee I (X-ray)

Location: Middletown, Iowa, United States; full-time onsite

Salary: $25.50 per hour, plus a $1 per hour increase after required training.

What you will do

• Participate in a radiography training program covering image interpretation, radiation safety, and equipment operation.
• Practice interpreting production radiographs according to procedures and contract requirements for training purposes.
• Operate regulated ionizing-radiation-producing machines and radiation detection instruments under direct supervision.
• Verify equipment certification, accuracy, and current calibration documentation.
• Support operations personnel by providing instruction on X-ray procedures and radiographic systems when requested.
• Maintain a logbook of training hours and perform part preparation, documentation, and system performance checks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to obtain Level I Radiography certification and an Industrial Radiographer License.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and SAP.
• Ability to follow approved work instructions with accuracy and thoroughness.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and use mathematics to solve problems.
• Ability to regularly perform all job functions at the company office or work site in Middletown, Iowa.

Nice to have

• X-ray or nondestructive testing experience.
