Consultant, People Systems (AI)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; at least 3 days in the office required. Travel required 5–10% of the time.

What you will do

• Shape the product direction and user experience for Talent Acquisition platforms, primarily Workday Recruiting and related external systems.
• Design, build, and operate AI agents that automate configuration, testing, regression testing, and operational support workflows.
• Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, solution designs, and scalable Workday capabilities.
• Configure, test, release, and maintain functionality for sourcing, requisitions, candidate management, offers, and background checks.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition, HR, IT, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize requirements, manage dependencies, and deliver initiatives from discovery through launch.
• Facilitate user acceptance testing, evaluate Workday releases, maintain the agile delivery board, and recommend roadmap enhancements.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of experience and an advanced degree.
• At least 3 years of Workday configuration or technical HRIS experience.
• Experience with Workday business processes, custom reports, security, calculated fields, EIBs, and dashboards.
• At least 2 years of Workday Recruiting configuration experience, including requisitions, candidate pipelines, offers, and integrations with sourcing, assessment, or background-check vendors.
• Hands-on experience building or configuring AI agents and LLM-based automation for real business use cases is required.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, relationship-building, and customer-facing skills.

Nice to have

• Workday Pro certification in Recruiting.
• Experience supporting Talent Acquisition processes in a global organization.
• Experience using Claude, ChatGPT, or custom agent frameworks to improve configuration, testing, or operational workflows.
