Salary: $30.00–$55.00 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and geographic location.

What you will do
- Lead engineering analysis and design for urban drainage, stormwater management, and municipal engineering projects.
- Prepare designs for stormwater ponds, wetlands, grey and green infrastructure, and erosion and sediment control measures.
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, including dual drainage systems, dam breach scenarios, water quality, and wetland water balance studies.
- Support river engineering, environmental assessments, field data collection, site reconnaissance, surveying, and data analysis.
- Prepare technical reports, memoranda, work plans, cost estimates, tender specifications, and procurement packages.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, regulatory agencies, and clients while supporting proposals, approvals, and junior staff mentoring.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Water Resources, Environmental, or Civil Engineering.
- Five or more years of progressive water resources engineering experience, primarily in urban stormwater management and municipal engineering.
- APEGA Professional Engineer or Professional Licensee designation, or candidacy, is required.
- Proficiency with urban stormwater modeling software such as PCSWMM, EPA SWMM, MIKE+, InfoWorks ICM, or GeoSTORM.
- Experience preparing detailed designs, cost estimates, technical specifications, tender packages, reports, and proposals.
- Valid unrestricted Class 5 driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Nice to have
- Experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWAT, HSPF, or EFDC.
- Python, R, or VBA experience for data analysis and model automation.
- Experience with ArcGIS, Global Mapper, QGIS, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D.
- Graduate degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
