What you will do
- Prepare, review, and submit accurate insurance claims through electronic and paper billing systems.
- Follow up on outstanding insurance balances and support timely reimbursement according to payer guidelines and hospital policy.
- Research, analyze, and resolve denied or underpaid claims, escalating complex issues when needed.
- Collaborate with providers, coding, revenue integrity, and patient access teams to maintain complete and compliant claims.
- Retrieve, review, and submit medical documentation requested by insurance carriers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience handling commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and government-assisted program claims.
- Knowledge of billing, claims follow-up, reimbursement, and payer-specific requirements.
