Senior Electrical Engineer (Water and Wastewater)

Location: Dallas or Fort Worth, Texas, or Greenville, South Carolina. Hybrid schedule with up to 40% remote work.

What you will do

• Provide firm-level technical leadership for electrical systems serving water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Define technical direction, standards, design frameworks, specifications, review expectations, and delivery practices for the Industrial Power Team.
• Guide electrical design integration, commissioning, sequencing, startup, and workload planning for pump station and water and wastewater projects.
• Lead QA/QC, technical reviews, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and lessons learned.
• Advise project managers, clients, contractors, vendors, and firm leadership on technical strategy, risk, staffing, fees, and complex disputes.
• Coach junior electrical staff and coordinate work across electrical, process, mechanical, civil, structural, and operations disciplines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, architectural engineering, computer engineering, or a related discipline from an ABET-accredited program.
• Active Professional Engineer license.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in electrical power for water and wastewater systems.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering drawings, specifications, electrical systems, commissioning, and construction documentation.
• Experience developing complex electrical systems from conception through final design, including duct bank layouts, control wiring diagrams, one-line diagrams, and construction costs.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, UL 508A, NEMA MG-1, IEEE 519, and NFPA 820.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer licensure in multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience as the responsible licensed engineer or engineer of record for critical or high-risk instrumentation and controls scope.
• Leadership in the electrical industry, conference presentations, white papers, or professional and standards committees.
