Day & Zimmermann is hiring for production planning work supporting site operations and complex contracts.
What you will do
- Develop and maintain production and material plans for assigned site operations and complex contracts.
- Analyze production schedules, work in process, inventory levels, material availability, and lot forecasts to set priorities and corrective actions.
- Administer SAP planning data, including contracts, bills of materials, routings, work centers, confirmations, and daily production records.
- Coordinate with Procurement to determine material requirements, prioritize requisitions, and resolve supplier and order-timing issues.
- Lead inventory reconciliation activities, investigate variances, and support period-end corrections.
- Lead production planning meetings, train counterparts, and recommend planning process improvements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 7+ years of experience in production operations, materials planning, production planning, inventory control, procurement, or a related supply chain function.
- Advanced knowledge of SAP production planning and materials management.
- Advanced knowledge of demand planning, production scheduling, forecasting, inventory management, and inventory control.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to perform all job functions onsite at the company office or work site.
Nice to have
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, operations, or a related field.
- Experience resolving complex planning, inventory, and SAP transaction issues.
- Experience training others and leading process-improvement initiatives.
