Engineering Consultant (Java)

Location: Saint Paul, Minnesota campus, United States. Hybrid working arrangement with a minimum of three days per week in the office; candidates should be within a 90-minute commutable distance.

Estimated base pay: $89,000–$164,300 per year.

What you will do

• Develop and support technology applications and processes for annuity insurance products.
• Analyze, design, develop, test, integrate, and implement low- to medium-complexity application changes.
• Provide ongoing support for business applications and respond to production needs.
• Contribute to vulnerability management, application rationalization, AWS migration, and accessibility initiatives.
• Build annuity business knowledge and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with a Scrum team using a test-and-learn approach to solve problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least five years of experience with Java or other programming languages.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• At least five years of experience with Java batch and Spring Batch.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, AWS, and JUnit.
