TL;DR
Software Engineer, Level III (DevSecOps): Setting technical direction and delivering mission software for classified electromagnetic warfare systems with an accent on secure delivery pipelines, cloud and network security architecture, user-interface architecture, and test data platforms. Focus on integrating software into the Windows Army Gold Master laboratory, designing cross-domain services across NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS, and establishing analytics and model validation standards.
Location: Hybrid schedule with on-site presence required at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, for classified and laboratory work

What you will do
- Set technical direction for ARAT product baselines and lead integration into the classified Army laboratory environment.
- Resolve architecture and compatibility issues across SMF, UTAS, TestNet, and ASPEN.
- Own shared user-interface architecture, component libraries, interaction patterns, accessibility, and front-end performance.
- Design and govern secure GitLab CI/CD delivery pipelines, STIG compliance, classified enclave deployment, and cross-domain delivery.
- Define the ARAT test data platform, including collection, modeling, archiving, retrieval, data contracts, and analytics strategy.
- Set cloud, network, identity, segmentation, and security architecture for services operating across NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 9 years of relevant professional software engineering experience.
- Active DoD Secret clearance is required at the time of application.
- Experience with C# or Python, software architecture, REST APIs, testing, Agile/Scrum, GitLab CI/CD, and secure coding.
- Experience with SQL, relational data modeling, ETL/ELT, data platforms, analytics, and machine learning evaluation.
- Ability to work on-site at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, on a hybrid schedule.
Nice to have
- Security+, SecurityX, CISSP, CCSP, AWS or Azure architecture, DevOps, data engineering, analytics, or accessibility certifications.
- Experience with classified CI/CD pipelines, Authority to Operate processes, information assurance approval gates, and DoD security standards.
- Experience establishing shared design systems, architecting multi-domain data platforms, and applying zero-trust or DoD Cloud Computing SRG principles.
- Master’s degree in data science, computer science, statistics, or a related discipline.
