Heavy Civil Design Engineer

Location: Houston, Texas; hybrid schedule with up to 40% remote work.

What you will do

• Serve as engineer and project manager for large, complex water resources and heavy civil projects.
• Lead studies, investigations, analysis, design, technical reports, construction documents, and Engineer of Record services.
• Supervise multidisciplinary engineers, CAD technicians, designers, drafters, scientists, and external consultants across multiple offices.
• Coordinate with clients, client staff, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, financial reporting, status reporting, and quality control plans.
• Support business development through proposals, client visits, and marketing activities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience engineering dams, levees, and hydraulic structures.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and manage project teams while overseeing quality.
• Registration with the Texas Board of Professional Engineers.
