Material Planning Specialist (SAP)

What you will do

• Validate and maintain MRP data integrity in SAP to support production schedules, inventory control, and procurement.
• Review MRP issues, resolve system discrepancies, and support transactional planning activities.
• Lead production-floor inventory initiatives to improve material flow, reduce excess and obsolete stock, and optimize inventory turns.
• Coordinate end-of-contract material reconciliation and compliant disposal of residual inventory with program management and the Disposal Team.
• Train and guide expediters on inventory practices, material movement, and standardized processes.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in production operations, material planning, or procurement.
• In-depth knowledge of MRP systems, production scheduling, SAP, and inventory management.
• Analytical, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, or business is preferred.
• Valid REAL ID-compliant driver's license required.
• Successful completion of a background screening is required.
• Ability to read and write complex documents in English and perform the role at the company office or work site.
