Senior Debt Specialist (Fintech)

What you will do

• Serve as a subject matter expert and strategic advisor on complex debt implementations.
• Join implementation scoping calls to assess data complexity and customer preferences for data structure.
• Advise Customer Success Managers, associates, and implementation teams on translating debt management concepts into the platform.
• Support implementation project planning by accounting for complexity, scope, and appropriate timelines.
• Guide the team through complex financial data reconciliation scenarios and collaborate with the data team on limitations and issues.
• Join customer calls as needed to explain implementation decisions and system functionality outside the standard Customer Success scope.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in municipal finance and a strong understanding of different types of debt issuances.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field is highly preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas.
• Exceptional project management, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret complex financial workflows and present confidently to senior finance professionals.

Nice to have

• Experience with CRM or Customer Success software such as Salesforce or Gainsight.
