TL;DR
Senior Technical Program Manager (Autonomy): Coordinating requirements, sprint execution, dependencies, and releases for autonomous systems covering perception, path planning, GNC, and multi-agent or swarm behaviors with an accent on traceable engineering requirements and disciplined delivery. Focus on facilitating autonomy ceremonies, maintaining Jira as the system of record, controlling scope changes, and translating complex algorithm and mission concepts into testable requirements.

Location: Austin, TX; hybrid on-site with up to [__xx__]% travel. U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a security clearance are required.

What you will do

  • Lead requirements intake and refinement for perception, path planning, GNC, and multi-agent or swarm capabilities.
  • Translate product and mission intent into scoped, testable engineering requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Maintain traceability from initiatives through epics, stories, and definitions of done.
  • Run Autonomy team sprint planning, standups, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
  • Coordinate dependencies across Autonomy, Core, Systems, Solutions, and Release Engineering.
  • Manage release scope, change control, Jira workflows, status reporting, and technical briefs.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of technical program or project management experience with software or autonomy engineering teams.
  • Hands-on experience with autonomy systems such as unmanned or robotic platforms, perception, path planning, GNC, or swarm coordination.
  • Demonstrated expertise in requirements intake, refinement, traceability, and change control.
  • Advanced Jira experience, including dashboards, workflows, custom reports, and process governance.
  • Experience establishing and driving adoption of new process frameworks or operating models.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance are required.

Nice to have

  • Background in autonomy, robotics, aerospace, defense, commercial UxS, military autonomy, or research programs.
  • Experience with simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, or autonomous-system field testing.
  • SAFe, Scrum Alliance, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience in product management, change management, or process improvement.
