TL;DR
Site Manager - QTS 01 & 02 (Construction and Power Generation): Managing construction and installation sites for large diesel generator systems in hyperscale projects with an accent on health and safety, subcontractor coordination, quality, and delivery control. Focus on preparing RAMS, managing Permit to Work and Isolation procedures, mitigating site risks, and completing technically complex power generation and M&E projects on schedule and within budget.
Location: Sunderland, United Kingdom; regular travel to construction and installation sites, with attendance at Head Office meetings in Derbyshire as required

What you will do
- Take responsibility for daily construction and installation site operations, ensuring work is safe, compliant, on schedule, and within budget.
- Lead personnel and subcontractor teams working on large diesel generator installations for hyperscale projects.
- Act as the primary Health & Safety authority, enforcing safe systems of work, company procedures, Permit to Work, and Isolation processes.
- Prepare and approve company RAMS, review subcontractor RAMS, and conduct pre-start inspections and post-completion quality checks.
- Identify, mitigate, and report risks or delays while providing progress updates to project stakeholders.
- Maintain effective relationships with clients, contractors, internal teams, the Projects team, the Project Manager, and the Technical Director.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager in construction or industrial M&E environments.
- SMSTS certification is essential.
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards and current Health & Safety legislation.
- Experience managing subcontractors, enforcing RAMS, and leading site operations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project documentation.
- Strong leadership, communication, client-facing, and IT skills, including experience with ERP and SharePoint.
