Senior Manager, Pricing and Business Development (Actuarial)

What you will do

• Lead commercial discussions on product viability, pricing, product design, and competitiveness.
• Partner with Marketing and Distribution on innovative pricing strategies and sales targets.
• Develop partnership models, alternative financial solutions, business development initiatives, and loss mitigation strategies.
• Manage pricing processes, including Value-of-New Business reporting, experience monitoring, experience studies, and product pricing approvals.
• Implement new product launches, including product proposals, policy provision reviews, reinsurance arrangements, and system UAT.
• Maintain pricing assumptions and models, forecast pricing trends and medical inflation, and develop the pricing team through training and coaching.

Requirements

• Degree in Actuarial Science or a related discipline.
• Fellowship in a recognized international actuarial professional body.
• 8–12 years of actuarial experience in the insurance industry; medical pricing experience is beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of cash flow and policy liability projections, with experience using Prophet or equivalent actuarial software.
• Strong analytical, data processing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Good command of English and the ability to work independently and solve problems under pressure.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS 17, and RBC.
• Medical pricing experience.
• Less experience or qualification may be considered at Manager level.
