Salary: $55,000–$75,900 per year

What you will do
- Conduct laboratory experiments supporting downstream process development, including solution preparation, fermentation, homogenization, clarification, filtration, and chromatography.
- Perform basic analysis of process samples, including absorbance, solids content, plating, pH, conductivity, and metabolite testing.
- Document procedures, observations, deviations, and results in electronic laboratory notebooks.
- Troubleshoot experiments, evaluate data quality, and determine when results should be rejected due to exceptional laboratory conditions.
- Maintain laboratory instrumentation, schedule equipment maintenance, and support laboratory systems and operational improvements.
- Handle chemicals and hazardous waste safely while maintaining required training compliance.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in microbiology, biochemistry, chemistry, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent training.
- 0+ years of related experience with an A.S. or B.S. degree.
- Basic understanding of process development methods, unit operations, scientific principles, laboratory equipment, and equipment maintenance.
- Ability to execute laboratory experiments from written or verbal instructions and prepare compliant documentation and reports.
- Ability to work onsite in Boulder, Colorado, USA.
Nice to have
- Experience with stirred-tank fermentation using single-use and stainless-steel systems.
- Experience with chromatography, precipitation, and filtration methods.
- Basic technical writing and communication skills.
