Segment Producer - Weekend Mornings

Location: Onsite at the network's offices in New York, NY

Salary: $75,000–$90,000 per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Pitch story and segment ideas for the weekend morning program.
• Research political, domestic, and international news using online sources, video archives, and other information.
• Select editorial elements and produce scripts, interview segments, and news packages.
• Prepare and execute live television newscasts and assist in the control room when needed.
• Coordinate with Executive, Senior, and Line Producers while communicating story developments.

Requirements

• Experience producing for a national news program or newscasts in a top-10 market.
• Experience covering politics and government, with strong news judgment.
• Proficiency with ENPS.
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, adaptability, deadline management, and the ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
• Availability to work different shifts, including weekend mornings.
