Technical Writer - Home Energy

Location: Hybrid in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, with 2–3 days per week onsite. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary: $66,300–$83,500 per year

What you will do

• Write, edit, and maintain operation, maintenance, installation, service, repair, and specification documentation for home energy products.
• Ensure technical publications comply with legal obligations and internal or external requirements.
• Contribute to publication activities from estimation and planning through product development.
• Improve publication depth and quality using feedback from internal and external customers.
• Support digital documentation through illustrations, graphics, renderings, animations, and videos.
• Develop structured content strategies using DITA to increase content reuse.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical writing.
• At least 3 years of industry experience as an effective technical writer.
• Experience with CCMS software and DITA architecture, including content strategy and stylesheet creation.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Mastery of project management techniques and strong communication skills.
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of similar products.
