Entry-Level Software Engineer

Location: Austin, Texas, United States. Support is provided to NASIC at Wright-Patterson AFB. U.S. citizenship is required, and the role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Salary: $68,000–$119,000 per year.

What you will do

• Enhance and maintain multiple applications and websites across Windows and Linux environments.
• Write and maintain source code repositories for data analysis tools supporting technical intelligence products.
• Participate in software design meetings and code reviews.
• Collaborate with software developers in a team environment.
• Implement unit tests and participate in functional test plan execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related technical field.
• 0–3 years of experience in software design, development, coding, testing, and debugging.
• Knowledge of web- and service-based design, programming, and requirements.
• Knowledge of C++, Python, and Go; familiarity with Git for code repository management.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance is required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with test-driven development, Agile, Scrum, and full-cycle development.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch and PostgreSQL.
• Active Secret clearance.
