Assistant Supervisor, EHS (Part-Time, SeaWorld San Diego) (Medical Services)

What you will do

• Provide emergency and first aid care to guests and employees.
• Supervise daily Health Services and Medical Services operations, including staffing levels and adherence to medical protocols.
• Manage employee injury and illness cases, workers' compensation, return-to-work and limited-duty processes, and follow-up care.
• Mentor, train, and supervise staff, including supporting hiring and development.
• Oversee park-wide medical training, drug testing, camper medication check-in, and medical wellness programs.
• Adjust schedules and assignments as needed while maintaining area labor and expense budgets.

Requirements

• Current state license as a Registered Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT.
• At least two years of active clinical experience in an EMS system or hospital setting.
• Ability to complete Health Care Provider CPR training and certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, multitasking, and independent-work skills.
• Ability to carry a 35-pound medical bag throughout the park, stand for extended periods, and work around water, heights, noise, motion, chemicals, fumes, dust, and all weather conditions.
• Availability for varying opening, mid-, and closing shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice to have

• Experience with OSHA programs, vaccines, workers' compensation case management, emergency response, or triage.
• At least one year of leadership or Health Services Department experience.
• Microsoft Office proficiency and a valid state driver's license.
