What you will do
- Conduct physical examinations and preventive health assessments.
- Perform injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
- Develop patient care plans, document progress, and maintain continuity of care.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and prescribe or recommend treatments.
- Educate patients on treatment plans and health maintenance.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams, refer patients when needed, and coach nursing staff on best practices.
Requirements
- Maintain current state RN and Nurse Practitioner licenses and certificates to practice.
- Maintain state prescriptive authority, federal DEA licensure, and state narcotic or controlled-substance licensure where applicable.
- Hold current national certification from ANCC or AANP.
- Master’s degree in Nursing; transcripts are required if the degree certificate does not specify Nursing.
- Current hands-on Basic Life Support certification from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider is required.
- At least three years of clinical Nurse Practitioner experience in ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice, or emergency medicine.
