Senior Accounting Analyst

Location: Remote - United States

Base salary: $85,000–$100,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage accounting functions for HTK and 1847Financial and support ledger-closing activities with financial management teams.
• Prepare journal vouchers, accounting classifications, account reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany accounting.
• Analyze financial data and respond to internal and external financial requests.
• Support management, regulatory, GAAP, statutory, and consolidation reporting.
• Prepare quarterly, annual, and state regulatory filings, including insurance “Blue Books.”
• Document processes and controls, support audits, and implement process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or an equivalent master’s degree.
• 2–5 years of related experience.
• Experience in the life insurance or financial services industry.
• Strong data analysis skills, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and financial modeling.
• Clear written and verbal communication, critical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively and complete regulatory and job training requirements.

Nice to have

• CPA designation.
• Experience working for a brokerage firm.
