TL;DR
Supply Chain S&OE Excellence Lead (SAP): Driving planning process excellence across the Sales & Operations Execution process for a global Polyurethanes supply chain with an accent on process standardization, digital enablement, SAP-supported planning, and continuous improvement. Focus on optimizing supply planning KPIs, designing future-state operating models, leading change management, and developing planning capabilities through training and mentoring.

Location: Hybrid role based in San Jose, Costa Rica, with office attendance at AFZ, Heredia on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays; additional office days may be required.

What you will do

  • Lead S&OE process excellence initiatives using Lean methodologies, automation, and digital solutions.
  • Evaluate and simplify planning processes, eliminate non-value-added activities, and develop future-state operating models.
  • Standardize S&OE processes in line with global Supply Chain governance and excellence strategies.
  • Monitor and improve supply planning KPIs, including plan adherence, schedule stability, inventory health, and customer service.
  • Drive change management, stakeholder collaboration, and sustainable operational improvements across regional and global teams.
  • Coach planning teams through training, mentoring, and best-practice implementation.

Requirements

  • Unrestricted right to work in Costa Rica is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of supply chain planning experience, including Supply Planning and Demand Planning.
  • Strong proficiency in SAP ECC, including the PP and MM modules and planning master data management.
  • Advanced English proficiency at C1 or C2 level.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and change management skills.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • APICS/ASCM or equivalent Supply Chain certification.
  • Experience with Power BI and SQL.
  • Experience in specialty chemicals or similar manufacturing environments.
