Location: Lowell General Hospital, 295 Varnum Avenue, Lowell, Massachusetts, United States. Onsite office role, 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; no weekend or holiday call.
Salary: $21.53–$26.91 per hour.

What you will do
- Coordinate surgical cases and appointments, including same-day and next-day add-on procedures.
- Work with surgeons, support staff, vendors, anesthesia, hospital departments, and operating-room personnel to schedule procedures according to established guidelines.
- Confirm patient schedules, procedures, vendors, equipment requests, and supplies for upcoming cases.
- Distribute operating-room schedules to management, staff, and vendors.
- Maintain external vendor scheduling applications and assist with EHR use and digitization of surgical materials.
- Support communication between clinical and surgical departments, affiliated services, and private practices, while reporting and following up on hardware or software issues.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of administrative experience.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, and experience with multiple database software products.
- Strong organizational, verbal and written communication, interpersonal, prioritization, and deadline-management skills.
- Ability to manage changing expectations and collaborate effectively with staff, managers, providers, and clinical departments.
- Ability to work in a normal office setting with frequent sitting, occasional standing and walking, lifting 5–10 pounds, and regular computer use.
