Junior Field Technician (Environmental Response)

Location: USA-CO-Loveland; flexible/remote work with nationwide travel and frequent extended field assignments

Project pay: $25–$35 per hour; limited project pay: $19–$24 per hour; training pay: $17 per hour or applicable local minimum wage. Overtime may be paid at 1.5x or higher.

What you will do

• Support emergency response, environmental response, disaster recovery, industrial hygiene, toxicology, risk assessment, and infectious disease response projects.
• Perform air monitoring and support environmental sampling, moisture mapping, and site safety activities.
• Operate monitoring instruments independently and accurately record measurements.
• Prepare chain-of-custody documentation for environmental samples.
• Maintain availability for emergency response, extended travel, weekends, overnight shifts, overtime, and occasional 24-hour shifts.
• Drive non-commercial vehicles to project sites and work in outdoor, hazardous, and physically demanding environments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Functional or higher computer literacy in a Windows-based environment.
• Ability to understand and follow directions, manage high workloads, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, work outdoors, and wear required respirators and personal protective equipment.
• Availability for frequent unscheduled travel, typically for up to 30 days at a time, and nationwide field assignments.
• Medical clearance may be required for respirator use and work at HAZWOPER sites.

Nice to have

• Military experience.
• Experience with industrial hygiene equipment or air and environmental sampling equipment.
• Experience in emergency response, environmental response, or construction management.
