Federal AI Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid remote/onsite in Ft. Belvoir, Virginia, United States. Ability to travel as required for client engagements.

Salary: $138,000–$153,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Plan, lead, and execute data and AI engagements, defining objectives, deliverables, validation activities, and risk mitigation.
• Lead client workshops and innovation sessions to identify business opportunities, define problem statements, and design high-level analytical solutions.
• Discover data sources, create data requests, and oversee ETL/ELT ingestion and annotation of structured and unstructured data.
• Oversee analytics and machine learning models from design and training through evaluation, validation, implementation, and delivery.
• Manage complex workstreams, budgets, expectations, and deliverables in virtual and face-to-face environments.
• Define business metrics and manage reporting processes and dashboards.

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance required.
• At least five years of experience in artificial intelligence, information technology, and/or data science.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience with natural language processing, machine learning on unstructured data, and/or information retrieval.
• Strong knowledge of data preparation, machine learning algorithms, model selection, validation, deployment, and object-oriented AI software development.
• Experience with distributed computing and big data platforms, cloud infrastructure, RESTful services, web technologies, command-line scripting, Linux, data structures, algorithms, and production-level code.
