Traveling Superintendent

Location: North Dakota; on-site work across hirify.global’s divisions and construction projects

What you will do

• Manage daily field operations on heavy civil construction projects from start to finish.
• Lead on-site crews and subcontractors while coordinating workforce, equipment, materials, and schedules.
• Conduct job hazard awareness meetings, safety briefings, stretching sessions, and toolbox talks.
• Inspect field work and materials, review construction drawings and manufacturer documentation, and ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain daily logs, equipment and material schedules, timecards, and reports for safety issues, damage, and injuries.
• Coordinate with general superintendents, project managers, clients, regulatory agencies, and business community members.

Requirements

• Two to five years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, policies, reports, and legal documents.
• Ability to use Outlook, Word, Excel, iPad, and iPhone.
• Strong written and verbal communication, scheduling, interpersonal, analytical, and practical mathematical skills.
• Valid driver’s license, satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record, and ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Union affiliation or willingness to join the union is required. Ability to work 8–10-hour days and occasional weekends.

Nice to have

• OSHA 10-hour certification.
• OSHA 30-hour, HAZWOPER, Excavating Safety, Blueprint, CPR, or First Aid training.
