Strategic Impact Officer

Location: Kingsville, Texas, United States. This is a campus-based staff position involving external meetings, events, forums, and community engagement.

Salary: $80,000–$120,000 annual base salary, negotiable based on funding, experience, and skills.

What you will do

• Develop and sustain partnerships with community organizations, education stakeholders, employers, industry leaders, and alumni.
• Align university capabilities, academic programs, and student talent with regional workforce and partner needs.
• Represent the university at external meetings, events, and forums, coordinating internal responses to partner requirements.
• Plan and execute recruitment, workforce, partnership, and student-success events with measurable outcomes.
• Create goals, performance indicators, and benchmarks for outreach, engagement, partnerships, and events.
• Track, analyze, and report outcomes, return on investment, and progress to university leadership while supporting institutional messaging.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Four years of related experience in public relations, community relations, external relations, or event planning.
• Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, partnership development, organizational, analytical, and project-management skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with sound judgment, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset.
• Ability to multitask, collaborate, and adapt to changing priorities.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
