Managing Director of Foreign Exchange

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States; onsite at 401 S Graham St. Frequent driving is required. Employment-based visa sponsorship is not provided; candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

What you will do

• Manage the bank’s foreign exchange trading desk and associated client and bank exposures.
• Develop hedging strategies, execute FX transactions, and improve market liquidity, fee income, and profitability.
• Build and retain relationships with CFOs, controllers, treasury and finance managers, counterparties, correspondent banks, and liquidity providers.
• Identify research-driven trading ideas and market opportunities while providing daily or weekly market research to clients.
• Coordinate with Finance, Back Office, and the FX platform vendor to resolve post-trade and system issues.
• Guide and train sales, administrative, and junior team members on FX transactions, risk management, market dynamics, and trade execution.

Requirements

• BA or BS degree.
• 15 years of job-related experience and relevant professional experience.
• Highly required experience with FX systems such as Thomson Reuters, Bloomberg, 360T, and FX All.
• Excellent communication, customer service, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, management, and project management skills.
• Expert experience with Microsoft Office products and ability to use job-related software.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; employment-based visa sponsorship is not available.
