AVP, Data and Analytics Architecture – Enterprise Data Products & Enablement (Data Architecture)

Location: Hartford, CT; St. Paul, MN; or Hunt Valley, MD, United States. Hybrid and fully in-office arrangements are available.

Salary: $186,900–$308,300 annual base salary, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentives.

What you will do

• Lead architecture teams supporting Enterprise Data Products and Data Enablement value streams.
• Define target-state technology architecture, roadmaps, standards, and proof-of-concept initiatives.
• Own architecture strategy for master data management, geospatial capabilities, enterprise data products, and generative business intelligence.
• Set direction for data governance, catalog, lineage, metadata, data quality tooling, third-party data management, and cloud data platforms.
• Partner with Technology, engineering, business, and senior leadership to align architecture with strategic objectives.
• Attract, develop, engage, and retain high-performing architects and engineers while driving modernization and reducing technical debt.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related STEM or technology field, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least 8 additional years of architecture or software engineering experience and 3 years of technical leadership experience.
• At least 10 years of architecture experience overall, with advanced architecture expertise and recent hands-on engineering experience using modern technologies.
• Experience creating and executing complex, large-scale technology strategies, target states, and roadmaps.
• Extensive executive leadership, influence, communication, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration experience.
• Advanced understanding of business capability models, transformational change, agile operating models, and insurance industry technology.
