TL;DR
Water Resources Project Manager (Stormwater Management): Leading flood risk, mitigation planning, and stormwater infrastructure projects for public sector clients with an accent on hydrology and hydraulics analysis, technical reporting, and project team leadership. Focus on developing H&H models, reviewing technical deliverables, managing schedules and project financials, and supporting client relationships and proposals.

Location: Austin, Texas preferred; San Marcos or San Antonio also considered. Hybrid schedule with up to 40% remote work.

What you will do

  • Lead public-sector flood risk, mitigation planning, stormwater management, and infrastructure design projects.
  • Manage and mentor project teams performing H&H analyses and preparing technical reports.
  • Develop H&H models for site-scale and large watershed projects, including HUC-8 and HUC-10 studies.
  • Prepare schedules, track project financials, produce monthly status reports, and interface with clients.
  • Provide technical support and quality-control reviews for project deliverables.
  • Support business development through client relationship building, pursuit planning, and proposal development.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in stormwater management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent field.
  • Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Experience with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, ArcGIS Pro, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication, organization, teamwork, and independent working skills.

Nice to have

  • CFM certification or experience with floodplain management practices.
  • Central Texas experience and familiarity with local criteria.
  • Experience preparing design plans, technical specifications, construction cost opinions, and permits for stormwater infrastructure.
  • Experience with FEMA flood studies, LOMRs, and CLOMRs.
