What you will do

  • Verify, pick up, and kit materials requested by manufacturing operations while monitoring usage and availability.
  • Receive, count, inspect, safeguard, sort, store, issue, pack, and ship materials, documenting transactions in computerized inventory systems.
  • Coordinate material flow and serve as a point of contact for warehouse-related inquiries across plant departments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support GMP-compliant cleaning, aseptic processing, safety, and housekeeping practices.
  • Mentor junior staff, provide training and backup coverage, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and special projects.
  • Identify damaged or discrepant goods, resolve material-flow issues, and report findings to the appropriate buyer or leadership.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in warehousing, shipping, receiving, and computerized inventory control, preferably in pharmaceuticals.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, including receiving, location management, capital-item tagging, shipping, LTL trucking, parcel services, purchasing interfaces, packaging, and problem resolution.
  • Experience with ERP and inventory systems such as ASCTrac and SAP IM/EWM, as well as Microsoft Office and warehouse scanners or tablets.
  • Strong understanding of chemical handling, Safety Data Sheets, and DOT requirements for transporting hazardous materials.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, analytical, mathematical, and troubleshooting skills with a strong commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to lift 25–50 pounds, with working-condition requirements including lifting up to 80 pounds and pushing or pulling heavy drums and equipment.
