Traveling Sewer and Water Superintendent

Location: Field work in North Dakota, with 8–10-hour workdays and occasional weekends

What you will do

• Manage daily site activities to deliver projects safely and according to design, budget, quality standards, and schedule.
• Supervise lead personnel and field staff while coordinating workforce, equipment, materials, and project requirements.
• Schedule and monitor subcontractors and communicate project needs with general superintendents, crews, customers, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
• Identify hazards, conduct daily job hazard-awareness meetings and stretching sessions, and deliver weekly toolbox topics.
• Maintain daily logs, equipment and material schedules, time cards, and documentation for safety issues, equipment damage, and workplace injuries.
• Participate in pre-construction and job-site meetings, inspect work and materials for quality compliance, and address staff performance issues.

Requirements

• Two to five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret policies, reports, plans, specifications, legal documents, technical instructions, and diagrams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel spreadsheets, iPad, and iPhone.
• Strong oral and written communication, scheduling, interpersonal, mathematical, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Valid driver’s license, satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record, ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, and age 18 or older.
• Union affiliation or willingness to join the union is required.

Nice to have

• OSHA 10-hour certification.
